New Service Times

Starting September 7th we will once again have two Sunday Services @ 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., both meeting at the City Rescue Mission on McDuff. Children's Ministries will be available during both services, and Breakout & Escape will be available during the 9:00 service.

When: Starting September 7th, Sundays @ 9:00 a.m. & 11:15 a.m.

Middle School Epic Group - Movie Night

This Friday kicks off the Middle School Epic Group!! We apologize for the late notice, but we are fortunate to have the ability to use the RCC sound & video equipment at the CRM chapel from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. To go along with our epic theme, we will be eating pizza and watching Star Wars Episode 1. It will be a load of fun, and you are encouraged to invite friends. Chairs will be available, but bring pillows or sleeping bags if you want to sit on the floor.

The Marriage Course

How to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime

The River City Church Marriage Course is designed to help build and strengthen the marriage relationship and is intended for couples who have been married for at least one year. The Marriage Course will consist of an appetizer / introduction evening on Wednesday, September 17th, followed by eight Wednesday night sessions at 7:00 p.m., starting September 24th.

When:   Appetizer: Wednesday, September 17th @ 7:00 p.m.

Topics covered include:

Each couple's privacy is respected, as there is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose information regarding their relationship to anyone else. The course, while based on Christian principles, is very helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background.

Childcare will be provided for all evenings except the appetizer evening. Parents are requested to make a reservation for their children prior to September 24 by signing up at RCC's worship service or by e-mailing Jonathan White .

"religion-free" church?

At River City Church we try to break down the barriers that religion has built up over the centuries. We aim to do church in a relevant, religion-free way on the theory that religion is the height of our rebellion against God. We believe that the content of the Gospel should remain the same while the ways in which it is proclaimed and lived out must change according to context.

This has led us to a radical attempt to lower or remove the boundaries of traditional church culture so that people who don't normally go to church or those who have been disenchanted by their experience of church can find what we do to be as accessible as possible.
