Sunday Morning Family Worship
Informal services for the whole family. We are passionate about God and making Him real in our everyday life from the youngest to the oldest. We’re intentional about being “irreligious” but not irreverent, and we invite people to dress however they feel comfortable. We don’t want our congregation to feel like they have to put on a “mask” when they come to church. We believe church should be fun, and at the same time, a place where the relevance, power and holiness of Jesus are taken seriously. The result is a diverse and exciting church, whose members are full of passion for God and demonstrate faith throughout the week, not just on Sundays. For the summer we have one Sunday morning service at 9:30 a.m. Typically we start off with worship led by our contemporary band, sing songs with all the children, then have a 5 minute break to dismiss the younger children (childcare and special services are provided for kids) and meet those around us. We meet at the City Rescue Mission Chapel on McDuff Avenue.
Courses
River City Church runs courses on a rotating but continual basis. All courses meet at the City Rescue Mission off of I-10 on McDuff Avenue, and are typically 6-8 weeks in length. More »
