I wanted to share a testimony of something that happened at work last week. After being really encouraged by the testimonies the following week that seemed to revolve around the workplace (at least 2 of them did) I really asked God to show up that week at work and do something amazing. On Tuesday, I was having trouble printing a form, so I went into another teacher’s classroom and asked if I print it there. I asked how she was and she started crying, (she is a very reserved woman and never shows emotion) and shared that her 17 year old son had been missing for a month. She hadn’t seen him at all, but knew that he was living with his girlfriend and sleeping a her house. She had called DCFS but they were unable to help; she had called the police but they were also unable and stated that because He was about to turn 18 they could do nothing. She was at an impasse and didn’t know what to do. So I asked if we could pray together and she was totally ready. We asked the Lord to bring him home that night.
When I got to school the following morning, she was so happy and said that he had come home last night and eaten dinner with them, and that he had let her take him to school that morning!
God totally answered her prayers! We are praying that he will move home entirely, so we keep expecting that.
It has encouraged my faith SO much. And I see that even though this is only temporary, God is greatly at work.
God is AWESOME!
